High Intensity Colors

I chose this painting for high intensity because of the vibrant colors on and around the object. The bright pink, blue, and green hues all pop out. It gives a very 60's feel, especially with the wallpaper-like background.

Low Intensity Colors

This painting gives a less vibrant feel due to the low intensity of the color scheme. The muted colors give off a low color vibration and has no high intensity colors to accent. It seems to have a lot of gray which is a good color to use for a low intensity painting.

Neutral/Muted Colors

This piece exclusively uses neutral colors throughout. It seems to use a mix of gray and white to get the colors present. Whether using white by itself or mixing it to dull other colors.

Monochromatic Scheme

This piece is monochromatic, or really achromatic, due to only using black. The changing of value helps keep the drawing from becoming flat. The contrast from the white background also helps and creates negative space.

Complimentary Colors

I chose this piece for complimentary colors because of the orange and blue within it. These two colors are across each other on the color wheel which is what makes them complimentary. They both highlight each other and bring harmony to the object.

Warm Colors

I chose this for warm colors because of the deep red, orange, and browns present. All are very prominent and used often in this object. The darkness and analogous scheme gives off warmth that bright colors cannot.

Analogous Scheme

This piece is an analogous scheme because purple, blue, and pink are all directly next to each other on the color wheel. Because of this, they all mix well together and blend into the next.

Tonal Unity

This piece is a mix of tonal unity and many others. The tonal colors of blue, green, and orange are all there because of the many different hues of each. There are very bright colors that are highlighted by low intensity colors. All of these colors compliment each other too, with orange and blue being across from each other and green being next to blue, it creates harmony.
