Culture Jamming

For this first drawing I decided to change Taco Bell to Taco Hell because most people that eat there need to go to the bathroom immediately. I thought it was a funny thing a lot of people could relate to. I wish I had time to figure out adobe illustrator because I wanted it more clean. Even though I don’t like that the lines aren’t perfect, I still like how it turned out.

For this drawing I wanted to do something more in depth than surface level funny. I drew a google search with “women should” suggestions popping up. Social media is the biggest influence on women’s appearance and personality. It’s one thing I’m really passionate about and so imbedded in our culture that I knew I wanted to draw something about it.

This is another simple drawing but many people my age would understand. So many people use Snapchat to send pointless snaps everyday. No one talks anymore and it’s even influenced dating negatively. I changed Snapchat to Streaks to mock this shallow culture. I’m very happy with how app turned out and I got the hue just right.

For this drawing I wanted to make it obvious. Many people know the chick-fil-a font and that chick-fil-a donates to anti lgbtq organizations. They recently decided to stop, however, that doesn’t change the fact that they did for years. The font was actually hard to do, so I hate how it turned out. I like the concept and the idea behind it, however it would have been better photoshopped.
